Stornoway is connected to the mainland by daily flights to the major Scottish airports.

Highland Airways operate daily flights between Inverness and Stornoway.

British Airways operate regular flights, Monday to Saturday from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness to Stornoway, Barra and Benbecula. There are also Sunday flighs between Stornoway and Glasgow.

By Ferry
You can travel from Ullapool to Stornoway in less than 3 hours on the large and comfortable Calmac ferry, the " Isle of Lewis ". Alternatively you can choose the shorter crossing ( 1hr 40mins ) from Uig on Skye to Tarbert on Harris. During your journey across the Minch you can take in an array of islands, as well as carry out a bit of dolphin and porpoise spotting !
